Who is behind irot Brief
irot Brief is a tool by irot. irot started in a metal workshop, as software first needed there for its own work. The attitude has stayed: what we build has to be right, and you have to be able to check why.
Why letters from authorities
A letter from a German authority comes in German, in official language and often with a deadline you must not miss. If you do not know the language well or have little time, you are on your own. irot Brief explains what the letter says and calculates until when you must act – in your language.
How we calculate
- Code calculates the deadline, not an AI. Every rule is explicitly programmed.
- Every step names the section of the law, with a link to the official text and the day we read it.
- Where two readings are possible, we show the shorter deadline and say so.
- Every rule has tests, and every safeguard is switched off on purpose to see whether a test fails.
The numbers are in the test report.
What we do not do
We do not give advice on individual cases and do not say whether a decision is correct. Instead, for every letter we name who can help: advice centres, associations, lawyers.
Found a mistake?
If a deadline, a section or a translation is wrong, write to us. We check every report and correct the rule together with its test.
